It also reported a monthly California median of $7,627 based on 44 hours of care each week. These figures are statewide benchmarks, not Everlight Care’s rates and not a Fresno– or Bakersfield-specific quote.
A family using fewer than 44 hours per week would calculate a different monthly amount.
How to estimate a monthly budget
A simple planning formula is:
Estimated hours per week × estimated hourly rate × 4.33 weeks
For example, suppose a family is considering:
- Three visits each week
- Four hours per visit
- Twelve total weekly hours
The family could multiply 12 weekly hours by a planning rate and then by 4.33.
The result is only a rough planning estimate.
The agency should still confirm:
- Current pricing
- Visit minimums

How many hours should a family schedule?
